SURVIVORS are resourceful, adaptive, and generous individuals with unusually resilient spirits. When difficulty and opposition arise on the path to success, you don’t let it slow you down or thwart your purpose. As a SURVIVOR, you know how to get back up and keep going, no matter how many times life knocks you down.

The SURVIVOR’S life is also marked by relentless optimism. No matter how turbulent life may be, you choose to see the good in every situation, and you always find a reason to smile.

Your friends admire your resolve and resilience, although they often tease you for your tireless positivity. When they see you striving, they are often inspired to tackle their own goals with similar grit and creativity.

Pregnancy Concerns
Before diving into pregnancy concerns, it’s important to acknowledge that you are the expert of your life. No one knows your story like you do, nor do they understand what you’re capable of or destined for. That said, here are some concerns you may have when it comes to unexpected pregnancy.

Some SURVIVORS may worry the pregnancy will jeopardize their hard-won progress and chance at success. As a SURVIVOR, you didn’t enter the world with much, so you’ve learned to maximize every opportunity and hustle hard for your goals. What if this pregnancy slows you down—or worse, gets in the way of your dreams?

As a SURVIVOR, you may also have concerns about the general lack of stability in your life. Perhaps you’ve had people stereotype you or put limits on you due to your circumstances. You know you’re capable of great things, but even so, you know your situation isn’t ideal. Will you be able to create a good future for yourself and this pregnancy?

SURVIVORS may also worry about who they can depend on moving forward. Your support system may be lacking due to physical distance, relational tension, or even generational brokenness. Where others may look to friends or family for support, you’ve learned to depend solely on yourself. What if this pregnancy proves too much for you to handle on your own? Will you have the support you need to make it work?

Takeaways
With your strengths and concerns in mind, here are some suggestions designed to bring self-awareness, confidence, and clarity to the SURVIVOR.

What makes SURVIVORS extraordinary is their ability to find a way or make a way. Unexpected pregnancy is like any obstacle on the path to success. You may have to find an alternate route to your dreams, but nothing can thwart your destiny.

When people doubt you or project stereotypes onto you—as they often do with SURVIVORS— stand firm in your identity and use the words of your naysayers as fuel for your fire. Keep in mind that you are no stranger to struggles, barriers, or conflict. Let your resilient nature and relentless optimism pull you through so you can reach for more than you thought possible.

Some SURVIVORS have a tendency to fixate on the instability of their present circumstances, but consider the ripple effect of life beyond this moment. Every time you stand strong in the face of setbacks, choose courage over fear, and give love where it’s needed most, you are taking hold of your future and leaving a lasting legacy.
“You sort of start thinking anything’s possible if you’ve got enough nerve.”
